A TOP secret script for the new Star Wars film was put up for sale on eBay after star John Boyega left it under his bed.
The Brit actor confessed he forgot about the script for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker after “partying” with pals and a cleaner found it and it ended up posted on the online auction site.
Earlier this week director JJ Abrams revealed the script went up for sale on eBay after one of the actors left it under their bed – but luckily Disney managed to buy it back before it was bought and leaked online.
In a US TV interview on Wednesday, Boyega said: “It was me! Let me tell you how this all went down. What happened was it was actually from my apartment, I was moving apartments and I left the script under my bed.”
“I was just like, you know what I’m going to leave it under my bed, when I wake up in the morning I’ll take it and then move, but then my boys came over and you know we started partying a little bit and then the script just – it just stayed there.”
“And then a few like weeks after this cleaner comes in, finds the script and then puts it on eBay for like 65 pounds.”
He joked: “So the person didn’t know the true value!… “It was scary man, I got calls from every official, even Mickey Mouse called me (and said) ‘what did you do?’” He added: “It all worked out”.
Boyega, 27, also revealed he doesn’t actually know how the film ends as it is so top secret and different alternatives were shot.
He said: “I don’t actually know because we shot several different things. I’m curious. I think I watch the movie next week for the first time.”
However he joked he had told pals some secrets about the film, he said: “Look man it’s the last one, yes I have, yes I have! Yes my best friend Asia I told her, my other boy Stefan I told him some stuff, but he was actually working on the film so he saw everything.”
“But my best friend Asia, I said ‘this is the last film man, I don’t have time to keep all this in me’, so I told her absolutely everything.”
After his appearance on ABC morning news show Good Morning America Boyega tweeted a clip of his confession, saying: “It was me dammit !!!!!!!”
Abrams previously described how precious the script was to Disney when he revealed it had been put on eBay.

Speaking on the same US morning show on Monday, he said: “They were really nervous about anything getting out, and so they had only a handful of scripts, and they were printed on crazy, un-copyable paper.”
“And then one of our actors, I won’t say which one – I want to, but I won’t – left it under their bed and it was found by someone who was cleaning their room. And it was given to someone else, who then went to sell it on eBay.”
The film comes out on December 19.
