Johnny Depp relists his Kentucky horse farm for $1.6million after it fails to sell for TWO YEARS

Johnny Depp has put his picturesque Kentucky horse farm back up on sale at almost half of the original asking price.

The Hollywood star, 55, originally tried to sell the 41-acre property in Lexington in December 2016 for $3.4million, before slashing the price to $2.9million in March 2017 and even attempting an auction a few months later in September.

The actor has now re-listed the sprawling property, complete with seven bedrooms and six and a half baths, for $1.6million – no doubt, a fresh distraction for Depp as the aftermath from his bitter divorce to Amber Heard rages on.

Johnny, who was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, first bought the property in 1995 for $950,000 before going on to sell it in 2001 for $1 million.

Upon changing his mind, the Pirates Of The Caribbean star repurchased the property in 2005 for a cool $2million and his beloved mother Sue Palmer had occupied the residence before she passed away in 2016.

The house was put on an auction a year ago, however Depp’s business manager refused to accept the top bid of just $1.4 million.

Depp broke his silence for a cover story in GQ, telling the magazine that the past three years have ‘felt like a perverse situation that was inflicted on me.’

Depp, who will next month appear as dark wizard Grindelwald in JK Rowling’s Harry Potter spin-off series Fantastic Beasts, was accused of violence against Heard in May 2016.

In a restraining order request, Heard alleged that Depp ‘violently attacked’ her in their Los Angeles penthouse apartment and threw a cellphone that struck her in the face with ‘extreme force’.

Photos later emerged of Heard with bruises on her face – but Depp denied ever hurting her.

Amber’s attorney has slammed Depp’s interview with GQ in which the actor denied abusing her as ‘outrageous.’

In a statement to Page Six in response to the piece, Heard’s attorney accused Depp of ‘shamefully continuing his psychological abuse’ of the actress.

‘It is outrageous that GQ never spoke to any of the multiple witnesses to Mr. Depp’s physical abuse of Ms. Heard prior to publishing its article,’ it said.

‘If GQ had done even a basic investigation into Mr. Depp’s claims, it would have quickly realized that his statements are entirely untrue.’

The statement also accused Depp of disregarding the confidentiality agreement between the pair and claims he has refused to allow Heard to respond to his ‘baseless’ allegations, despite repeated requests.

The statement added: ‘Mr. Depp is shamefully continuing his psychological abuse of Ms. Heard, who has attempted to put a very painful part of her life firmly in her past. One need only look at the physical evidence to draw the proper conclusion.’

In a statement to MailOnline, Depp’s attorney responded: ‘In his GQ interview, Mr. Depp is simply defending himself against Ms. Heard’s lingering false abuse accusations.’

He added: ‘Regarding the confidentiality agreement of which Ms. Heard’s counsel complains, Ms. Heard started violating it before the ink dried, first with a statement, and soon after with a domestic violence PSA asking ‘how is this happening to me?’ purporting to give advice to real victims. More breaches followed.

‘The only ‘shameful psychological abuse’ stems from Ms. Heard’s continuing cynical manipulation of the important #metoo movement and its real victims, that she has used to pursue her own ends.’
