Katherine Jenkins looks incredible as she takes to the stage after mugging

They say the show must go on and that certainly was the case for Katherine Jenkins on Thursday night.

The 39-year-old mezzo soprano singer was mugged earlier this month while trying to help an elderly woman who was being attacked.

While Katherine returned to the stage that same evening, she has continued to put on a brave face as she gets back into the swing of things.

A week ago, a 15-year-old girl was charged with robbery and assault after the opera singer was left in tears after the mugging.

She had intervened to help an elderly woman on Kings Road in Chelsea, West London, who was been attacked by two girls.

She had been on her way to a memorial concert, attended by Pippa and Carole Middleton, when she was attacked – but still went on stage to sing because she ‘didn’t want to let the charity down’.

In a statement the Metropolitan police said that the teenager has been released under investigation and will appear at Highbury Magistrates’ court in the new year.

Two girls were arrested on suspicion of robbery, the force said the day before.

The singer had been on her way to St Luke’s church to perform in a concert when the attack happened.

The service was organised by the Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund – set up shortly after the 18-year-old, who was a close friend of Princes William and Harry – died in a car crash in 2002.

Henry’s brother Thomas van Straubenzee, who is one of Prince William’s best friends and Princess Charlotte’s godfather, sports broadcaster Ed Chamberlin and Conservative grandee Sir Nicholas Soames were in attendance.
