Katie Boulter signs to Neymar and David Beckham agents

KATIE Boulter is on the path to become the next tennis superstar after signing up with Neymar and David Beckham’s management company.

The 22-year-old has teamed up with KIN partners, whose high-profile roster includes the former England captain, Brazil and PSG playmaker, England fly-half Owen Farrell and singer Liam Payne.

The likeable Leicestershire-born tennis player will be managed by Simon Oliveira, who has been close to Becks throughout his football career and celebrity lifestyle.

Boulter plays experienced Russian Ekaterina Makarova in the first round of the Australian Open in Melbourne.

The world No.99 is seen as an emerging star on the WTA circuit and already has experience at Grand Slam level and in the Fed Cup.

And provided she keeps winning and raking up the prize money, there are plans to boost her earning capacity off the court, too.

Boulter said: “I’m really excited to have started working with KIN and to join their family of talent. I’m confident that I’ve got a great team around me who will guide me in all aspects of my career and help me to achieve my goals.”

Oliveira, Managing Director of KIN Partners, added: “Katie is an exceptional young talent and we are delighted to be partnering with her. Katie had a great 2018 and we look forward to being a part of her journey both on and off the court as her career progresses.”

When Boulter broke into the Top 100 last October, she told SunSport of her confidence she could become a top player.

The new British No.2 said: “Though it’s been a relatively rapid rise – with a thousand places in a little over two years – it feels very much like it’s been a constant effort.

“That said, I can feel my mentality and confidence has started to shift as I get more exposure to the best players in the world.

“Now I know I’ve got what it takes to get to the top of the women’s game.”
