PEP GUARDIOLA was so shocked to be called a “sh*t coach” by Kevin de Bruyne that he asked his Manchester City superstar: “What? What?”
Luckily Etihad chief Guardiola knew the playmaker was joking as City celebrated their second Premier League title in a row.
As City rejoiced in pipping Liverpool, thanks to a 4-1 win at Brighton, Guardiola was thrown into the air by his players.
And then he was thrown a verbal googly by de Bruyne.
Guardiola hugged the Belgian, who remonstrated with his hand in the air: “You’e a sh*t coach. You only win!”
The open-mouthed Spaniard kept hold of de Bruyne and asked “What? What?” – before de Bruyne burst into laughter and his manager grinned.
A few fans on social media did not twig straight away that de Bruyne was fooling around.
And one strait-laced tweet pointed out City’s combined haul from their successive titles: “Pep best coach ever 198 points in two seasons.”
But another fan joked: “Press: Kevin De Bruyne to Real Madrid confirmed! ”
