KEVIN HOLLAND staked a huge claim to be 2020’s Fighter of the Year at UFC 256.
The Dana White’s Contender Series star’s fifth assignment of the year saw him lock horns with Brazilian jiu-jitsu phenom Ronaldo Souza.

Holland went into the contest as the bookies’ favourite and was brimming with confidence seconds before getting his hands on the fan favourite.
And it was that confidence that ultimately led to the 28-year-old picking up an unorthodox stoppage victory in the first round.
After getting Souza out of his guard, Holland cracked the BJJ ace with a vicious right hand as he made his way back to his feet.

Souza’s arms immediately fell by his side, which allowed Holland to land four vicious punches before the referee jumped in.
Victory over Souza was Holland’s fifth of the year and undoubtedly his most impressive.
The brash Holland, who irked Dana White on the Contender Series, was on cloud nine after his latest triumph and revealed in his post-fight interview that he’s open to fighting the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev on one week’s notice.
He told UFC commentator Joe Rogan: “I know my son doesn’t want me to say this right now.
“I know Chimaev was supposed to fight December 19. He fights at 85 and 70. Come back up to 85.
When asked if he’s trying to set up a fight with the Russian for next week, Holland said: “That’s what he does?
“I think I do it better. Who has fought the most this year?
“I think he should stay at 70. I think he could be a champ at 170.
“But if he comes up here to 85, I’m gonna bang that boy up. I’mma bang him up, Joe.”
