Kyrgios blows clash with Federer because of ‘hot chick’ in crowd and claims he would ‘marry her right now’

NICK KYRGIOS blew his Laver Cup clash with Roger Federer – because of a “hot chick” in the Geneva crowd.

The Australian bad boy raced into a 7-6 lead in the first set of his match with the Swiss superstar.

Yet after revealing he was blown away by the presence of a stunning woman after three games of the second set, the world No.27 went on to lose the next two sets.

Federer came from behind to prevail 6-7 7-5 10-7 in the third annual Laver Cup.

Kyrgios, 24, told Team World coach John McEnroe: “I lost concentration. I saw a really hot chick in the crowd.

“Like, I’m being jarringly honest – I’d marry her right now. Right now.”

Federer, 38, said: “It was a bit of a lull in that second set. I was really close in the first set. It was tough to lose.

“I could feel it, but I needed to get some energy going, but you can’t do that if you don’t play good shots, and Nick was playing very well.

“If you can turn the momentum, the crowd gets back into it. I think I need some ear plugs next time.”

Kyrgios was recently spotted out with 20-year-old rising star Anna Kalinskaya.

The Russian ace rose to prominence after defeating 2017 champion Sloane Stephens in round one of the US Open on Arthur Ashe Stadium last month.

She then lost in the next round to American Kristie Ahn – before linking up with Kyrgios on a night out last week.

It’s been another turbulent year for the Aussie entertainer.

Kyrgios produced some stunning performances to win ATP 500 events in Acapulco and Washington earlier this season – but has also been criticised for his behaviour yet again.

The former Wimbledon quarter-finalist was defaulted from his match in Rome against Casper Ruud after a meltdown – and also accused the ATP of being ‘corrupt’ following his US Open first round victory over Steve Johnson.

The livewire from Canberra will play in the inaugural Zhuhai Championships next week after competing in the Laver Cup for the third time this weekend.
