ARSENAL loanee Eddie Nketiah continued his red-hot form with late winner for Leeds against Barnsley in the Yorkshire derby.
The Gunners youngster, 20, netted his fourth goal of the season in all competitions to fire Leeds into the automatic promotion places.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side left it late to beat struggling Barnsley though and were once again indebted to Nketiah.
Coming off the bench in then 70th-minute, to replace Patrick Bamford, Nketiah changed the mood of the game entirely.
And finally Leeds‘ pressure paid off as the young Arsenal striker slotted home from six yards out after the ball was whipped in by a Kalvin Phillips set-piece.
Mateusz Klich then made sure of the three points as he converted a penalty – won by Nketiah – with just one minute left of the 90.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright was one of the first to congratulate Nketiah for his heroics though, as he posted a GIF of Snoop Dogg, captioned “Love you nephew”.
Wrighty has been full of praise for Nketiah all season – and was even seen chanting, “Eddie, Eddie, Eddie” after his 81st-minute winner against Brentford, just moments after coming off the bench.
Nketiah has also scored in EFL Cup games against Salford and Stoke this season.
And his winner against Barnsley catapulted Leeds top of the Championship, edging above Swansea on goal difference – helped by Klich’s spot-kick – both on 16 points.
Meanwhile, Barnsley sit one spot above the relegation places with just five points from their first seven matches.
