Lewis Hamilton gets around Silverstone on scooter after being forced to queue up with public following sale of £25m private jet

LEWIS HAMILTON ditched his Formula 1 car in favour of a scooter as he sped around Silverstone today.

After flogging his private jet, the British superstar decided to try out a new mode of transport at the Grand Prix preview day.

Hamilton was spotted working up a sweat as he raced across Silverstone on the small black scooter.

He blended in with the crowd by wearing a beige jacket with matching cargo pants and trainers.

The scooter was not quite as luxurious as the £2.4m Ferrari that he rocked up in to Kevin Hart’s birthday bash in Hollywood.

Hamilton turned heads when he arrived in his beloved La Ferrari – which can hit 0.62mph in just 2.4 seconds.

And he hit the headlines when he headed back home with stunning Instagram model Zahra Elise after the wild night.

The British star was spotted leaving in her Range Rover Evoque before he ended up at her house.

But it’s not been all fun and games for the F1 legend after he was forced to queue with the public for his most recent flight.

He stood with his arms folded at Los Angeles airport as he appeared to dwell on his decision to sell his candy red plane.

Nonetheless, Hamilton will have a smile back on his face if he wins a record sixth British Grand Prix this weekend.
