Lisa Banes in ‘critical condition with traumatic brain injury’ after hit-and-run crash by motorized scooter in NYC

ACTRESS Lisa Banes is reportedly in critical condition after she was “flung from a crosswalk” during a scary hit-and-run crash in NYC. 

The 65-year-old Gone Girl star was crossing the street in Manhattan when she was struck by a motorized scooter who allegedly fled the scene. 

According to Deadline, the TV and film star lives in Los Angeles but was visiting New York City for the first time since the pandemic.

The outlet reported she was on her way to meet her wife Kathryn Kranhold for a dinner party near the Lincoln Center when a red and black scooter hit her while “blowing through” a red light. 

The driver then allegedly fled the scene  – which took place at the crosswalk on West 64th and Amsterdam Avenue – and is being sought by police. 

As Lisa was inside the crosswalk, she “had the right of way,” law enforcement said. 

Her wife, Kathryn, told the outlet that Lisa is in critical condition at Mount Sinai Morningside hospital’s intensive care unity with a “traumatic brain injury.”
