The Reds face a Dortmund side who struggled domestically last season and have appointed former Nice and Hertha boss Lucien Favre to the manager’s position.

What time is kick-off?

KLOPP’s side open their Premier League account with a home fixture against West Ham on August 12.

Liverpool finished last season in fourth place and reached the Champions League final for the first time since 2007.

Dortmund managed fourth in the Bundesliga last season and are undergoing a rebuild under their new boss.

The match will be held on Sunday, July 22 at the Bank of America Stadium in North Carolina.

Kick-off is at 9.05pm UK time.

What is the team news?

LIVERPOOL have added to their squad ahead of the new campaign by splashing out on Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri.

Fabinho made 34 league appearances for Monaco last season, scoring seven goals and has already featured for the Reds in pre-season.

Emre Can and John Flanagan have both left the club after their contacts expired and were not renewed.

Dortmund have added former Mainz defender Abdou Diallo to their squad, alongside the signings of Werder Bremen’s Thomas Delaney and Frankfurt’s Marius Wolf.
