Lori Loughlin and her husband ‘are recruiting a crisis manager to help improve her rep’

Lori Loughlin and her husband are said to be in the market for a crisis manager to improve their public image in the wake of the college admissions scandal.

Speaking to CNN, two high-profile crisis management executives claim they’ve been approached by the couple to help repair their tattered public image.

The executives, who’ve requested to remain anonymous to protect their clientele, say Loughlin has been ‘agonizing’ over how to change the public’s perception of her.

It’s damage control that remains her optimum priority, the execs say, despite the fact she is facing a possible sentence of up to 40 years behind bars.

‘[Loughlin] has been having preliminary talks with some top crisis management firms on what she can do to change the public perception,’ one executive told CNN. ‘I truly believe she thinks she’s going to not serve jail time and return to work.’

Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, are accused of paying $500,000 to a fake charity in order get their two daughters into the University of South Carolina as members of the crew team.

In addition to the couple’s legal woes, relations between Loughlin and her two daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella, are said to be straining in the scandal’s wake as removal vans were pictured outside of the family’s home for the second time in two weeks.

According to the executive, Loughlin referenced Martha Stewart’s return to favor – in spite of a litany of legal issues – as her inspiration.

‘It’s killing her that her squeaky clean reputation has done a total 180,’ a source, who did not take Loughlin and Giannulli on as clients, told CNN. ‘She reads everything that’s written about her, and she’s already thinking about how she can turn her image around.’

But the second executive, who the couple also allegedly approached, told them their priority of focus should be on their legal woes rather than the public’s perception of them.

‘Resolving the legal situation should be [Loughlin and Giannulli’s] primary focus,’ the source told CNN. ‘Once that is resolved, [they] can then turn to how to reclaim their image and brand.

‘Do I think [Loughlin] can come back? Yes. Being imperfect and explaining things from a parenting perspective can make her relatable when the time is right,’ the anonymous source added.

In a statement to the network, Loughlin’s publicist, Elizabeth Much, said the family’s main focus is on their legal proceedings and the couple are not planning to bring in a PR team as claimed.

Behind closed doors, relations between Loughlin and her two daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella, are said to be strained.

The younger of the two daughters, YouTube star Olivia, was said to have ‘barely spoken’ to either of her parents over the past few months.

She had previously been spotted staying with friends in LA instead of at home with her parents in Bel Air.

Nonetheless, on Thursday moving vans appeared outside the Loughlin mansion for the second time in two weeks – but this time furniture was been taken inside.

Among the stack of cardboard boxes, a large portrait of YouTube vlogger David Dobrik, whose good friends with Olivia Jade, was spotted being carried inside the $35 million property.

The interesting wall mount hints that Olivia could finally be moving back in and getting back on speaking terms with her two parents, after several weeks of laying low in LA.

She was spotted hanging out with Dobrik and another social media star, Heath Hussar, last month.

Olivia Jade, 19, has also been seen relaxing in Malibu with her boyfriend, Jackson Guthy, a model and musician, in a bid to avoid the media circus surrounding her parents.

However, a source told PEOPLE that any hopes of a mother and daughter reunion on Lori’s part may be premature, as it’s claimed Olivia is allegedly looking for a permanent ‘change of scenery’, away from her parent’s home.

‘Olivia is doing well. What’s going on with her parents is still upsetting to her, but she is also trying to focus on her own life as well’  the source told PEOPLE

‘Her parents still face a lot of media attention. There is paparazzi at the family house every day. It’s very stressful for everyone. Olivia has decided to move out for now. She doesn’t want to be followed when she leaves her home.’

The source added that Olivia’s focus is angled towards rebuilding her once bustling social media business, and she is eliciting the help of her closest friends to do so.

‘She wants to focus on rebuilding her business,’ the source says. ‘She spends time with friends and other vloggers that inspire her.’

It remains unclear whether Olivia Jade is moving back in with her parents or simply transferring items back to their homestead for storage as she otherwise seeks more permanent residence.

Loughlin’s publicist, Elizabeth Much, didn’t immediately respond to a DailyMail.com request to provide clarity on the matter.

On April 29 Loughlin, 54, and Giannulli, 55, pleaded not guilty to the charged of wire fraud and money laundering, along with 16 other parents involved in the scandal

However, on April 15, a removal workers were seen hauling furniture out of the Full House actress’ home, including a plush couch and a silver side table.

Many of the items were wrapped in protective plastic before being put on the truck.

The sighting came shortly after Loughlin, 54, and Giannulli, 55, pleaded not guilty to the charges of wire fraud and money laundering, along with 16 other parents involved in the scandal.

A source told PEOPLE Loughlin and her husband were hesitant to enter a guilty plea through fear of how their daughters would view them.

According to the source, the public’s perception of the scam is ‘nothing compared to what her daughters think of her. So that is something that has understandably made her less likely to enter a plea’.

Just days later, DailyMail.com revealed that Loughlin and Giannulli turned down a plea deal which would have drastically reduced their sentences because they thought prosecutors were ‘bluffing’ when they said they could end up behind bars.

Fellow actress Felicity Huffman and 12 other parents agreed to plead guilty.

Huffman was accused of paying a consultant, Rick Singer, $15,000 disguised as a charitable donation to boost her daughter’s test score.

Authorities say the 56-year-old actress also discussed going through with the same plan for her younger daughter, but ultimately decided not to.

Felicity Huffman’s daughter Georgia and Sofia (left in January with their parents) seemed to be unaware of the scandal to have proctor take her daughter’s test. William H Macy has not been charged in the scheme

Huffman apologized for taking part in the scheme, saying in a statement that she accepts full responsibility for her actions and ‘will accept the consequences that stem from those actions’.

‘My daughter knew absolutely nothing about my actions, and in my misguided and profoundly wrong way, I have betrayed her,’ Huffman said.

‘This transgression toward her and the public I will carry for the rest of my life. My desire to help my daughter is no excuse to break the law or engage in dishonesty.’

Prosecutors say they will seek a prison sentence that’s on the low end of between four and 10 months for Huffman. Huffman is scheduled to appear in Boston’s federal court on May 24.

The pair have two daughters, Sofia, 18, and Georgia, 16.

Huffman is accused of paying $15,000  to have her daughter’s exam proctored by Mark Riddell.

Riddell was described by authorities as ‘just a really smart guy’ who would either sit tests for students, change their answers afterwards or help them actively while they took it in one of two test centers that was ‘controlled’ by the scheme’s ‘mastermind’ Rick Singer.

Huffman allegedly used the scheme in December 2017 but the indictment does not specify how Riddell allegedly helped her daughter.

She considered using it for her youngest daughter, Georgia, but decided in the end that she did not need to, according to authorities.

Singer is accused of leading the scam.

He led a college counseling program and, according to prosecutors, also ran a fake charity through which he funneled bribes.

The scam worked in two ways; he would have people come into the exam to correct students’ answers and he also then bribed sports coaches to offer them scholarships, in some cases for sports they did not even play.

Singer cooperated with authorities as part of the investigation and continued taking bribes after he had been contacted by police.

Some of his conversations were recorded by police who obtained a wire tap to listen in. He is facing a maximum of 65 years behind bars and has pleaded guilty on all counts he was charged with.

It remains unclear if he will be given leniency given his cooperation.

Abdelaziz stepped down as president and COO of Wynn Resorts in 2016.

He is accused of bribing Donna Heinel, the senior women’s athletics director at USC, to recruit his daughter for the basketball team in 2017.

According to court documents, his daughter played high school basketball but was not gifted enough to get recruited as an athlete so he arranged for her to be one.

He then made a $300,000 ‘donation’ to the fictitious charity run by ‘ringleader’ Rick Singer and then made monthly $20,000 payments directly to Heinel.

His daughter got into the college but never joined the basketball team, according to the documents.

In a phone call with the fixer, they said: ‘I’m not going to tell the IRS anything about the fact that your $300,000 was paid to Donna– Donna Heinel at USC to get [your daughter] into school even though she wasn’t a legitimate basketball player at that level.’
