Man arrested on suspicion of ‘punching’ Katie Price at home is re-bailed

A man arrested on suspicion of assaulting Katie Price at her home was today rebailed by police.

The 32-year-old suspect was held after the reality star, 42, was allegedly punched in the face at her home in Little Cranfield, Essex last month.

Essex Police today confirmed he had been released until later this week.

Police were called to the former glamour model’s at around 1.30am on August 23, where a man was arrested on suspicion of assault, theft and coercive and controlling behaviour.

Ms Price was taken to hospital and was pictured the following day with bruises to her face and an injured lip.

A source told The Sun today: ‘Police have asked for more time to get to the bottom of exactly what went on.

‘Investigators will continue to look into the night in question with a variety of forms of evidence to establish what happened before they make a decision whether they will charge the man in question or not.’

Hours before the alleged attack, Ms Price shared an image taken by her fiancé, Carl Woods, 32, showing the couple posing with her two youngest children, Bunny, seven and Jett, eight.

Neighbours said they heard ‘loads of shouting and screaming’ on the night the model was rushed to hospital.

One neighbour told MailOnline: ‘There was something kicking off because I heard loads of shouting and screaming. It was definitely going off.

‘It was anti social and sounded like a load of p***heads coming back from the pub. There was a real kerfuffle.

‘Then I saw a car parked across the road for ages. Around half an hour after that I heard loads of talking.

‘I came downstairs to see what was going, but I don’t know what time it was because I didn’t have my phone with me. I didn’t see or hear any cops. I didn’t see any blue lights.’

Essex Police said: ‘A 32 year-old man arrested following reports of an assault in Little Canfield on 23 August has been rebailed until later this week.’
