REAL MADRID are set to complete a deadline day deal for Manchester United and Tottenham target Bruno Fernandes, according to reports.
The Premier League duo both came close to signing the Portugal international over the summer but a deal fell through.
And now Real boss Zinedine Zidane is ready to take advantage by luring him to La Liga.
The French manager openly admitted that fans can expect “one or two bombs” on deadline day.
According to ESPN reporter Manu Martin, Real will announce the signing of the 24-year-old to end Zidane’s search for a midfielder.
He had been desperate to land Paul Pogba but Manchester United remained reluctant to cash in.
Christian Eriksen was also rumoured to be a target for the Bernabeu club but Real Madrid are willing to wait to try and sign him on a free transfer in 12 months time.
The player even admitted that he had agreed personal terms before Sporting pulled the plug in the final moments.
He told GQ Portugal: “As you all know, Tottenham made a lot of proposals for me. Everything was right with me – or practically should be.
“I never made any big demands, my manager was always dealing with the financials.
