MANCHESTER UNITED outcast Fred has vowed to be focused while on holiday in Greece after the midfielder was failed to be called up by Brazil for national duty.
The 26-year-old has found himself to be a forgotten man at Old Trafford with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer omitting him from the first four Premier League matchday squads.
And with Brazil deciding against calling him up for the upcoming clashes against Colombia and Peru, Fred has whisked himself away for a mini vacation.
He uploaded a picture of himself enjoying the Greek sun, captioning the snap: “Enjoy your life intensely, but always focus!”
Fred has fallen down the pecking order since Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho in December.
Since the Norwegian’s arrival at the Theatre of Dreams, the ex-Shakhtar Donetsk ace has started just seven times.
Solskjaer has preferred the likes of Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira and Nemanja Matic over Fred.
After a season that saw him limited to just 17 top-flight appearances, there was speculation that Fred could be on his way out in the summer.
Reports in Italy claimed that Fiorentina were ready to launch an £18million offer for the combative midfielder – £34m less than what United forked out for him a year earlier.

And it was even suggested that Turkish giants Galatasaray were ready to bring him in on a season-long loan.
SunSport exclusively revealed earlier in the summer that Fred was assured by Solskjaer that he is part of his first team plans.
And with the Red Devils failing to win any of there last three games, surely it is only a matter of time before the former Internacional man is given a chance.
