The Red Devils are preparing themselves for a demanding top four race in the second part of the season at a warm-weather training camp in the United Arab Emirates.
But Fred was allowed to stayed in Manchester and opted for frosty ice cream while wandering with his pregnant girlfriend around Trafford Centre.
The pair donned casual attires, with Salum opting for a comfy, blue Nike tracksuit highlighting her baby bump.
And the Brazil international turned up in a black Jordan hoodie, matching sporty trousers, and his signature baseball cap.

Meanwhile, his team-mates were sweating it out in 27C heat at a training ground in Dubai, having checked in at the luxurious One&Only Royal Mirage Arabian Court for four nights.
The Red Devils seemingly enjoyed the Emirati sun, smiling and posing for pictures on the green turf of the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ensured the players would have good time while bracing themselves for the tough Premier League race, and decided against imposing strict rules in Dubai – as SunSport revealed.
United, who have won five matches out of five under the Norwegian, will have one tough training session a day with an optional breakfast at 9am.
