MANCHESTER UNITED will next week sit down with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to thrash out terms on his manager’s contract, according to reports.
SunSport told you the interim boss had already shaken hands with Ed Woodward about getting the job full-time.
And Solskjaer today admitted his deal with Molde had been torn up so that he could join United until June.
According to the Daily Record, United chiefs have made contact with Solskjaer’s representatives and pencilled in talks for Monday.
It is believed he will earn about £7.5million a year – just HALF what predecessor Jose Mourinho took home – and could be offered a contract up until 2023.
The Norwegian has overseen a spectacular run of 13 wins and two draws since replacing Mourinho in December.
Wednesday’s historic 3-1 Champions League victory in Paris – to overturn a 2-0 first-leg loss – was the biggest of the lot.
Solskjaer, 46, and his squad looked to be still basking in the result in training today.
He and United’s stars – who were slammed as “arrogant” in their celebrations over PSG – can be seen grinning from ear-to-ear in pictures taken at Carrington.
They will hope to be in the same good spirits after Sunday’s Premier League clash at Arsenal.
