MANCHESTER UNITED have been handed a huge transfer boost after Barcelona ruled out a move for Antoine Griezmann.
President Josep Maria Bartomeu claims the Atletico Madrid star’s name “isn’t on the table” this summer.
And that has opened the door for United to make a swoop for Griezmann without having to worry about competition.
The 28-year-old’s release clause is reportedly set to drop to £100million at the end of the season.
And he has been tipped to leave Atletico as they continue to fall short in La Liga.
It’s said that Griezmann has held transfer talks with Barcelona’s chief scout Eric Abidal.
But Atletico insist the French World Cup winner will not be allowed to leave the Wanda Metropolitano.

And he could be keen to continue down the path of new challenges by opting to join a new club.
It now remains to be seen if United can convince Griezmann to join them at Old Trafford.
But Red Devils chiefs are sure to be wary of Barca’s withdrawal, with other reports linking the Catalans to a £100m swoop for Marcus Rashford.
