MANCHESTER UNITED are interested in Leicester’s £65million-rated defender Harry Maguire – but must sell first.
And the player who looks most likely to be the fall guy is Marcus Rojo.
Rojo has yet to jet out to the US to meet his team-mates after his exertions at the World Cup in Russia.
And he only signed a new deal at Old Trafford back in March, that runs until 2021.
But he looks likely to be the sacrificial lamb in order to get Maguire through the door.
Maguire’s World Cup performance drew praise from pundits and fans alike and has caused a huge hike in his market value.
Manchester United are not a club who are likely to be deterred by this, but Leicester are set to offer him a bumper new £75,000 a week salary to keep him.
And if the latest murmurings coming from the bookies are anything to go by, Maguire could well be on his way.
Betway’s Alan Alger said: “Harry Maguire was one of the shining lights for England at the World Cup and his performances have clearly caught the eye of Mourinho and the Manchester United hierarchy.
