DANNY MURPHY is championing Eddie Howe to land a top job – and reckons he would be ideal for Manchester United.
Jose Mourinho’s Old Trafford future is in doubt despite the comeback win over Newcastle.
And Murphy believes Howe, 40, deserves a shot at an elite club after impressing again with Bournemouth, who are sixth in the league.
He told talkSPORT: “I would be absolutely amazed if Eddie Howe isn’t at one of the big clubs in the next few years.
“He’s a proven Premier League manager and he’s as talented as anyone out there.
“Someone’s got to take a risk, but I think he has proven for five years in the Premier League that he has what it takes.
