Masters over Liverpool? Pep Guardiola will be watching the Augusta finale

Liverpool are taking on Chelsea in a game which will go someway to determining their title hopes.

Guardiola saw his Manchester City side beat Crystal Palace 3-1 earlier on Sunday afternoon to go back above the Reds into top spot of the Premier League table.
A Raheem Sterling double and a strike from Gabriel Jesus in the closing stages of the game have put City back in the driving seat in the title race.
And Guardiola reserved special praise for Sterling, as he said: “He missed the first chance but the first goal was incredible.
“He’s a guy who has scored a lot of goals. He fought and helped Kyle Walker.
Meanwhile, Guardiola is a big golf fan and he played in last year’s Pro-Am before the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.
Although City will be travelling back from London, the Spaniard has revealed where his preference lies in terms of the Masters or the league showdown at Anfield.
It’s clear Guardiola will be glued to the Augusta finale as he said: “I’ll be on the bus or plane.
“Tiger Woods and Francesco Molinari are playing.
“We will watch the Masters and maybe the Liverpool game. Hopefully, Chelsea do a good job.”

Title run-in

Guardiola was delighted with his side’s efforts against the Eagles.

But he is under no illusion that his side have still many hurdles to overcome in their final five games of the season.
“This pressure is incredible. We are fighting to be champions back to back.

“In two seasons we’ve got 83 points with five games left.
“We’ve won two titles (Community Shield) and now it’s the FA Cup final.”
