THE tears in John Gosden’s eyes and the joy shown on Frankie Dettori’s face said it all.
Two men emotionally charged by the brilliant Enable’s performance in Sunday’s Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at ParisLongchamp.
As with most things in life when everything is running smoothly it’s all a bit of a doddle. But with Enable little has gone to plan in 2018.
It’s testament to Gosden’s great training that Enable was in Paris at all.
And once again we saw Dettori prove that even as he edges towards the right old age of 50, he remains one of the best in the world.
As for Enable, well she was the first British-trained three year old filly to win the Arc, and now she has banged in two.

I bet Frankel can’t wait to get at her!
There’s no doubt Enable is one of the greatest fillies in racing history, and what’s more we might see her in the Breeders’ Cup Turf and bidding for a third Arc in 2019.
Watch her, embrace her and simply enjoy an equine superstar who has it all.
