PRINCE Harry has been told to ‘forget’ about his military titles after stepping down as a senior royal.
Following Megxit, the Duke said goodbye to his three military accolades and royal historian Marlene Koenig says he is unlikely to be given them back.
Speaking to the Express, she said: “He chose to leave, and he cannot fulfil the responsibilities, he’s gone off to live in another country.
“Part of being a working royal are military patronages – not every member of the Royal Family gets them, but most of them do – and they need to be taken very seriously.
“When you leave the job you don’t get to retain the perks.”
It comes as the couple prepare to spend a “satisfied” Christmas in the US after fleeing the UK for good.
“I think the Sussexes will feel a sense of satisfaction this Christmas after a turbulent year” Richard Fitzwilliams told the Express.
