News of the row emerged as the remaining quartet — Mel, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner and Melanie Chisholm — flew in to London to make promotional material announcing a blockbuster UK tour.

Former manager Simon Fuller, initially behind the plans, is no longer calling the shots.
Instead the tour will be run by Modest, whose roster includes Little Mix and Katherine Jenkins.

In a further bid to oust mum-of-four Posh, the band have dissolved their official company Octopus Direct Ltd.
The firm looked after record sales, merchandise and films and boasted a £30million turnover in their 1990s heyday.
Its closure means they can open a new firm as a foursome.
