Men arrested on attempted murder as revellers seriously injured when car ploughed into them outside Devon nightclub

A CAR ploughed into revellers outside nightclub in the early hours of this morning seriously injuring a number of partygoers.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the hit-and-run in Devon.

It followed reports of a fight between two groups.

Police were called and a number of those involved fled the scene in a blue Honda.

The car returned a short time later, ploughing five members of the second group before leaving the scene.

Emergency services attended and police say a number of the second group were injured.

Cops later found a burnt out vehicle, believed to be linked to the incident.

Tiverton town centre was cordoned off as a result of the incident which saw two men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

A 19-year-old man and a 24-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

They remain in police custody.

Police say they are treating this as an isolated incident.
