MICHAEL Jackson’s ex-wife said she would have hanged the King of Pop from a tree if she had found out he was molesting kids.
Elvis’ daughter Lisa Presley, now 51, has previously defended Jackson against child sex abuse allegations, insisting she believed in his innocence.
In a 2003 interview, she insisted she would have taken swift action if she had ever seen anything suspicious.
“If I had seen anything, believe me, his a** would have been hanging from a tree,” she declared in a VH1 interview.
“I don’t know, I never saw anything like that. I don’t know what’s happening lately with him, I really don’t.”
She also questioned why the parents of Jackson’s alleged ‘victims’ would have accepted hush money to stop the truth from coming out.
In a Rolling Stone interview in 2003, Lisa asked: “Why would the dad take the f***ing money?
“If I had a kid and he was molested, I would fucking take that guy and hang him by his balls off a tree and let him sit there and die like that.
“Nobody could buy me, ever, if my child were molested.
“I don’t care if I didn’t have a penny — I would take his ass down in front of everybody.”
Despite this, she admitted she did worry about the allegations during the relationship – especially because she had two kids of her own.
“Did I ever worry? Of course I f***ing worried. Yeah. I did. But I could only come up with what he told me.
“The only two people that were in the room was him and that kid, so how the hell was I going to know? I could only go off what he told me.”
Lisa and Jackson shocked the world by announcing to the world that they had married in a ceremony in the Dominican Republic in 1994.
It came one year after Jackson paid $22 million in an out of court settlement after being accused of abusing Jordan Chandler.
The unprecedented scrutiny over Jackson’s private life took a toll on their relationship and they split just two years later.
While together, they had also faced relentless rumours their relationship was a publicity stunt.
The allegations against Jackson re-surfaced with the release of HBO’s Leaving Neverland doc.
James Safechuck and Wade Robson claimed they suffered at Jacko’s hands when they were 10 and seven respectively.
Jackson, who died in 2009 aged 50, has always denied the allegations against him.
The singer’s estate has taken legal action against the documentary.
Though the marriage is covered in the film, Presley hasn’t yet officially commented about the claims.
She is understood to have signed a deal worth $4million (£3.3m) to lift the lid on her marriage to the King of Pop.
In 2010, she offered a somewhat cryptic account of how the marriage ended in an interview with Oprah Winfrey.
“There was a very profound point in the marriage when he had to make a decision. Was it the drugs and the sort of vampires, or me? And he pushed me away.”
She explained that by “vampires” she meant “sycophants”.
Lisa Marie also told Oprah: “The one thing that correlates with Michael and with my father on this subject is that they had the luxury of creating whatever reality around them they wanted to create.”
