MIKE Thalassitis fans were left in tears after Celebs Go Dating dedicated tonight’s episode to the tragic Love Island star.
The 26-year-old was found hanged in a park yesterday morning – a year after he signed up to the agency alongside Gemma Collins and Tallia Storm in February 2018.
The Sun Online revealed show bosses were honouring the reality TV personality in the first episode since his death.
Moments after a photograph aired of Mike with his birth and death date, fans broke down over the touching tribute.
One viewer said: “Oh my god, the end of #CelebsGoDating I can’t believe how alone he felt #RIPMikeThalassitis.”
Someone else commented: “@CelebsGoDating @E4Tweets lovely tribute to mike at the end there #CelebsGoDating.”
Another added: “#CelebsGoDating little tribute to @MikeThalassitis.”
Someone else said: “#CelebsGoDating RIP Mike. So tragic. #DepressionIsReal.”
His ex-girlfriend Megan Mckenna – who is trying to find love on the current series of the show – broke down in tears about their split in an earlier episode.
Tonight Mike will be remembered by the show and its fans with an episode dedicated to the star.
In a statement, Celebs Go Dating bosses said: “Everyone here at Celebs Go Dating are shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend Mike.
“Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends at this very sad time. Rest in peace Mike.”
The Metropolitan Police confirmed Mike was found hanged in a park near his home in Edmonton, North London, on Saturday.
He was said to be grief-stricken over the death of his beloved grandmother and plagued with “huge debts”.
A source told The Sun: “It is absolutely tragic to have died at such a young age.
“Mike had so much to live for. He was about to launch a restaurant in Essex with a pal.”
His celebrity friends have been paying tribute to the 26-year-old who earned the nickname Muggy Mike on Love Island.
Despite his TV persona, Mike was known as being a “thoughtful and caring friend” whose death has left so many people heartbroken.
Today his Celebs Go Dating co-star Tallia posted sweet snaps of the pair from filming last year.
She wrote: “It’s taken me a while to wrap my head around this. It doesn’t feel real.
“Mike, you were one of a kind, you lit up every room you walked into with your cheeky smile, your irresistible charm and your infectious laugh.
“Filming CGD together was some of the best memories of my teenage years. My sincerest condolence’s to Mike’s loved ones who are hurting at this time. This truly is a tragedy.”
