CCTV footage shows the delivery man holding an Amazon package before running back to the van as he realises it is being stolen.

The dramatic theft was caught on a CCTV camera fitted to the outside of his customer’s house.

Cops believe the thief stole the Amazon parcels and transferred them to another white van before disappearing.

A source said: “The van had around 140 parcels in it worth about £5,000.

“It’s happening quite a bit across the country because it’s Christmas and it’s very busy.”

The stolen Avis van was recovered a short time later in nearby Rainhill.

Amazon is investigating.
