To make the dish she started by cooking the pasta in salted water until al dente.

Once cooked, she seasoned the pasta with olive oil, garlic powder and thyme.

Next, she transferred the pasta onto an oven-safe rack so heat can circulate around the food, making it crispy all around.

‘I popped it into a hot oven for 15 minutes, or until they were nice and crispy,’ she said.

In the meantime, she made a ‘quick’ sauce using half an onion, one tablespoon of tomato paste, a quarter cup of white wine, a tin of tomatoes, salt and sugar to taste.

She added the ingredients to a pan over medium heat.

‘I let that simmer away,’ she said.

Once the pasta is crispy and golden, Mon popped it into a baking dish, followed by the tomato-based sauce and cheese.

‘I pop it back into the oven until it’s nice and melted,’ she said.

‘And that’s pretty much it.’

Her video has since been viewed more than 390,000 times, with many saying they couldn’t wait to recreate the dish at home.

‘Oh my god, saving this for later, yum,’ one wrote.

One woman who recreated Mon’s pasta chip nachos confirmed: ‘It tasted amazing.’
