Monday’s UK weather forecast – turning cold under clear skies with widespread frost and fog

BRITS will see the weather turning colder from tonight, under clear skies.

In the early hours of the morning, widespread frost and freezing fog will develop.

UK weather forecast for 6am on Monday

Showers will continue in some eastern counties, while most other parts will remain dry, with clear spells.

In the morning, showers will persist in North Sea coastal areas.

Elsewhere, it will remain mostly dry and largely sunny, once the patchy fog clears.

Across the country, temperatures will remain below average for the time of year.

UK outlook for Friday 2 Nov 2018 to Sunday 11 Nov 2018

Most central and eastern parts will see a dry start to Friday, with hazy sunshine likely. Rain will move into western areas, then across the country, with winds developing, becoming strong in places.

On Saturday, conditions will become brighter with showers.

Looking ahead, the weather will remain changeable, with rain most prevalent in the northwest, although heavy rain is set to spread to most parts.

Northern hills are likely to see snowfall.

In the south, some dry and bright intervals are likely, but western parts will be subject to gales.

Temperatures are likely to remain at close to average for this time of year, possibly slightly below normal at times, with overnight frosts likely.

 

UK outlook for Monday 12 Nov 2018 to Monday 26 Nov 2018

Looking further ahead, the outlook is for continuing changeable conditions, with rain and showers, often giving way to drier and brighter spells.

High pressure will potentially develop towards the middle of the month, resulting in more settled conditions.

Overnight frost and fog will become more prevalent, particularly in the north and east.

Temperatures are likely to remain a little below the norm for the time of year.Snow is also likely on higher ground, especially in northern parts and any mild spells are likely to be short-lived.
