Mother seeks owner of treasured 1970s wedding snaps in old projector she bought on eBay

A mother has found a treasured collection of slides picturing a mystery family in an old vintage projector she bought on eBay.

Tanya Forster, 44, from Huntingdon, Cambs, bought the Hanimex projector on the online marketplace hoping to view old family photos of her recently passed father.

Yet when Ms Forster used the £20 projector for the first time, she was astonished to find it full of 100 odd slides picturing an unknown family.

The slides, believed to be taken in the 1970s, featured intimate moments from a precious photo of a couple on their wedding day, to family holiday photos.

The set included shots taken in Pickering and Yorkshire Dales in North Yorkshire.

The receptionist said she bought the projector to view old family slides found in her mother’s back attic after her father passed away.

Mr Forster said: ‘My dad passed away and we were sorting things out and my mum thought some of our family slides had been thrown away years ago.’
