In a fiery letter made public, he lashed the Topshop boss for trying to “silence” those who have accused him of harassment and racism.

He said the tycoon — who tried to gag employees and The Daily Telegraph over claims of sexual harassment — cannot “buy himself out of being accountable”.

He said honours should be given only to people who’ve shown upstanding behaviour, and Sir Philip has fallen “far short”.

MPs voted for him to lose his gong in 2016 over the collapse of BHS.

Sir Philip denies the claims against him.
