COMEDY legend Brendan O’Carroll stunned The One Show viewers this week – after dropping a swear word live on air.
The Mrs Brown’s Boys star joined his wife and co-star Jennifer Gibney on the famous BBC One sofa to chat about the series airing a one-off Halloween special on the channel later this month.
However, when Brendan got chatting about his popular show, the star came out with a rather rude word in the studio.
The One Show host Ronan Keating, who was joined by his co-presenter Alex Scott, wanted to know why Mrs Brown’s Boys has become such a hit around the world.
Ronan asked the 66-year-old: “Brendan, you’ve taken a particular North Dublin humour and, you know – the Irish mammy – it’s been an international hit.
“Why do you think it is? What’s the attraction?”
Brendan explained: “I think it’s, first of all, she’s hard as nuts – as all of our mammies were because they had to be.
“I think there’s two things; she’d help you bury a body, you know if she had to.”
Brendan then went on to detail his character’s notorious ways – and even managed to slot in a swear word in front of the cameras during the hilariously funny interview.
“Although she can be a b-i-t-c-h, sometimes, she just loves her kids,” he added, before getting emotional and concluding: “I think that’s a redeeming factor for her, she’s full of love.
“And her best friend is her best friend, and will always be her best friend.”

Ronan and Alex appeared to let the expletive slide as they let him continue, but fans of the show were quick to comment on the expletive.
One viewer joked: “Brendan O’Carroll cheekily fitting a rude word live on air is such a him thing to do.”
While another wrote: “Did anyone just hear Brendan O’Carroll go full Mrs Brown on The One Show just then? Such a funny bloke.”
