After dropping numerous hints about a “practical” and “wearable” ring, her husband finally bought her one.

He surprised her with the jewellery on Mother’s Day, but she was shocked when she saw the ring.

Instead of a practical ring she could wear out and about, her husband pulled out all the stops and gave her an “unwearable monstrosity.”

Sharing snaps of the giant jewel to Facebook group That’s It I’m Ring Shaming, she said: “I’ve been wanting an aquamarine right hand ring for a long time.

“I’m talking about something practical and wearable on a regular basis.”

She described her reaction when her husband finally presented her with what was meant to be the ring of her dreams.

She continued: “My dear, sweet husband, bless his soul, surprised me with this unwearable monstrosity for Mother’s Day.

“Twenty-six carats.

“I absolutely love it and absolutely hate it. It’s the thought that counts?

“I have no idea what to do with it.”

The woman didn’t know what to tell her husband

She explained that the ring wasn’t really suited to her frame and stature, claiming she has masculine hands.

She said: “These are man hands you are looking at. Ring size 9.

“He asked me why I don’t wear it. Well, no one has invited me to any balls lately.”

Her post has racked up dozens of comments on Facebook as people are in shock over the size of the ring.

One person said: “That’s a paperweight!”

People have compared the ring to everything from a paperweight to a drawer handle

Another said: “This is hysterical. Bless him for trying.

“It looks like a literally blown up version of some normal ring, but I have no idea why anyone would create such a thing?”

A third wrote: “It looks like the fancy drawer pulls you find at Pier1… why would you want something so heavy on your hand?”

And this woman was roasted for not dumping her boyfriend after he proposed with the same ring he gave his ex.

Plus this bride-to-be horrified people after making engagement rings – out of her boyfriend’s hair.

Meanwhile this couple were slammed for updating their Facebook statuses in the middle of their wedding ceremony.
