A MUM-of-four who went to the doctor’s after waking up with a “splitting” headache was devastated to learn she has just weeks left to live.
Samantha Last, 49, a popular beauty blogger from Norfolk, woke at 2am with a migraine last Tuesday and hours later was diagnosed with a rare type of aggressive brain cancer.
Days later, she learned from doctors at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge it was terminal and there was no treatment available to prolong her life.
Since then Samantha, who also has seven grandchildren, has deteriorated rapidly and now her husband of 30 years David Last says she has around just four weeks to live.
Samantha has filmed a heart-wrenchingly sad ‘final farewell video’ for the 15,000 followers of her beauty vlog, which focuses on makeup for older women.
With tears running down her face, she bravely says: “It’s been amazing, I’ve loved every second.” The eight-minute video has been watched 75,000 times so far.
She continued: “It’s not going to get better. That’s what I am coping with at the moment. I can’t hide it anymore.”
Samantha, married to David for 30 years and mum to Danny, 29, Jasmine, 27, Ebony, 23, and Brandon, 21, said the video – released on Saturday – would be her last.
Up until now her channel – which she launched in 2014 after being made redundant from a call centre job – has focused on beauty.

In her latest video she apologised for what has happened to her.
She said: “I am so, so sorry it’s a horrible message I am sharing. If anyone sees me out I am not my usual glamorous self. I am never going to be my usual glamorous self.
“All that matters is to be comfortable and to be with my loved ones and you [the subscribers to her channel].
“I am so sorry this is such a horrible message. But I wanted you to share the final part of my journey.”
Samantha, who has an identical twin sister Debbie, explained in the video: “Today I am going to try not to cry, I probably will cry. I want to share my final video.
“This is going to be my last YouTube video…. I want you to be involved in this one last journey with me. This is my final farewell.

“I want to complete my YouTube video journey. I think it’s going to be good, but it is also going to be sad.”
Samantha told how, ahead of her diagnosis, she suffered a few weeks of ill health. “But nothing major – just ear infections,” she said.
“But a week ago I was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour. But, I am not going to get over this. All I can do is minimise at this stage. Be comfortable.”
Her husband, warehouse manager David, 51, speaking to Fabulous Digital, told how she awoke exactly a week ago at 2am suffering from a terrible headache.
He said: “She asked for paracetamol so I knew it was serious. She never wanted painkillers, even during childbirth she turned them down.”
But the pain relief did nothing. He continued: “In the morning she begged for me to stay home so I did.
“She worsened so I took her to accident and emergency at hospital in Norwich.”
There she was unable to see properly so was referred immediately for brain scans.
Doctors discovered a mass on her brain and further tests revealed she had a brain tumour affecting her occipital and parietal lobes, which control vision and language processing.
Further scans were carried out and on Friday she learnt it could not be treated.
“She called me and said ‘I’ve got some news’,” David – who met Samantha when she was 15 – said. “‘They can’t do anything for me’.”
Breaking down, David told how he and the children were remaining cheerful for Samantha’s sake but that she was “worsening by the day”.
She is currently at home, but her memory and speech are deteriorating.
“We believe she has around four weeks now,” he said.

David told how Samantha was a huge fan of the British seaside and murder mysteries.
“She loves everything like that,” he explained.
He wants to raise money to take her to Agatha Christies’ beach house in Devon, and for funeral costs.
Adam Minto who founded Revolution Beauty, a makeup brand Samantha loved, have already offered support to her, after learning about what she was going through.
