My husband says his manhood doesn’t work – is he making excuses to avoid sex?

DEAR DEIDRE:  SINCE we got married 18 months ago, I haven’t had sex with my husband.

Lovemaking was great before the wedding but now he doesn’t even try.

He told me his penis won’t “work”, but I know it does because sometimes he wakes up with an erection.

When I initiate things, he says he is tired or doesn’t feel very well.

It’s always excuses and it is just getting boring.

I am not sure if we are finished or whether he loves me, even though he says he does.

DEIDRE SAYS: When men go off sex, they often do not want to talk about it.

Tell your husband you love him and that he can recover his libido.

He should have a health check with his GP, and kissing and caressing each other with no pressure at first will help.

My e-leaflet Reviving A Man’s Sex Drive will help to explain more.
