LIVERPOOL’S injury woes continued after Naby Keita was carried off the pitch by his team-mate in Guinea’s 1-1 draw with Rwanda.
The midfielder has given boss Jurgen Klopp yet another injury headache after picking up a thigh problem before half-time.
With no stretcher in sight, a member of the Guniea side was forced to give the 23-year-old a piggyback from the field.
He will now undergo a scan back at Melwood to determine the severity of his injury.
Kop medics are now sweating on his fitness for Saturday’s trip to Huddersfield as Jurgen Klopp’s side defend their unbeaten run in the Premier League.
Keita had just recovered from a back injury to play for his country.
He was crocked during the Champions League defeat in Napoli and was taken to hospital for treatment – but was available for Liverpool’s next game.
Keita came off the bench for James Milner in the draw against Manchester City and then went on international duty but has now picked up another problem.
The news is a fresh blow for Liverpool who already had concerns over some of their other stars.
Mohamed Salah picked up an injury playing for Egypt while Virgil van Dijk has returned early from the Netherlands camp.
