AT LEAST one person was killed after a church shooting in Nevada last night.
A man walked into a Mormon church and opened fire, killing one and wounding another, according to reports.
John Kelley O’Connor, 48, started blasting at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meeting house in Fallon.
The carnage erupted during a service at 1 pm that was attended by some 50 people, KOLO-TV reported.
He then left the building and walked home, according to Fox News.
Cops later called his house and asked him to surrender, which he did, according to reports.
“It’s really too early to understand the motive,” Fallon Police Chief Kevin Gehman said.
The wounded person suffered a leg injury.
“Our hearts go out to family members of those who have lost someone and those who were in the church today where the tragedy occurred,” Fallon Mayor Ken Tedford said.
Nevada senator Dean Heller tweeted: “Deeply saddened by the act of senseless violence in Fallon today at the LDS church.
