The Christmas-loving pensioner passed away yesterday after losing his battle with liver cancer.

He was surrounded by his family.

Hersheypark, the funfair he dedicated his Christmases to, said: “We are saddened to hear the loss of Bill Fry, who was known to many of our guests who visited Christmas Candylane.

“For more than three decades, he delighted families with the magic of the holidays and we hope the positive impact he had on each child is a comfort to his family during this difficult time.”
