And Ed Leng has been confirmed as the club’s lead sports scientist for Solskjaer’s side.
These are the latest changes Solskjaer has made having brought back Richard Hartis as senior goalkeeping coach last month.
Solskjaer told United’s official website: “We’ve got some ex-Manchester United people, even ex-players.
“We’ve got Mike Clegg, who I played with. I worked under his dad [Mick] when he was a coach in the gym here.
“We’ve got Richard who I have worked with before for seven or eight years, so I’m really close to him.
“And Ed has come in as well, in that group of people. He’s not a Man United guy but he has worked with Warren Joyce, who is of course a United guy, and I worked with him.
“They all know what the club is about and what I’m about. They are great people for me to bring in.
Solskjaer is preparing for his first full season in charge at Old Trafford.”
Pre-season training has begun with new signing Daniel James impressing at the Aon Training Complex.
But £50million man Aaron Wan-Bissaka will join up with his new colleagues after holidaying.
Record signing Paul Pogba is unlikely to be in Solskjaer’s side by the time the Premier League season starts, though.
