A COUPLE left mortified after snooty diners moved away from their table because of their bubbly children were left a heartwarming note by a mystery stranger.
Charlotte and Richard Partridge were nearly left in tears when they read that their kids had “more to offer the world than the people who moved seats”.

They have now stuck the letter on their fridge after the visit to family-friendly restaurant Rockfish in Brixham, Devon, earlier this month.
Mum-of-two Charlotte said it was “soul destroying” when she saw an elderly couple shift seats — despite son Thomas, three, and two-year-old Lily colouring quietly.
But she described the act of kindness as a “life jacket” that stopped her and husband Richard, 38, from falling into a “spiral of doubt” over their parenting.
The kind stranger wrote on a napkin: “Your children are beautiful and have far more to offer the world than the people who moved x”.

Charlotte said: “It can feel a little soul destroying to realise that even when it’s going well that other people still find us unpleasant enough to stop during their meal and go to the other side of a restaurant.
“They were just being children. They were in pretty good spirits and weren’t being annoying or noisy, just being average two- and three-year-olds.
She only became aware that others were being disturbed when IT manager Richard told her, “Looks like we scared them off.”
Charlotte said: “I’m sort of glad they did move, they did what was best for them.
“It meant we all had a nice meal and didn’t feel uncomfortable as they sat huffing and puffing all the way through.”

Music teacher Charlotte added: “Just as our meals arrived the note came at the same time.
“It was from the lady sitting behind us just as they were leaving and was written on a piece of the paper tablecloth.
“I was quite moved and felt a bit tearful.
“You work so hard at being a parent and doing the best for the family.
“It was nice that someone had seen us and then thought it was going right.

“I felt like it was a lifejacket. Something like that, someone moving away because of your family, can send you into a bit of a spiral of doubt.
“It made what could have been a dreadful situation into a really nice thing to have happened and show my friends and family.
“It’s now stuck up on my fridge.”
