PAYPOINT has gone down leaving up to 1.4 million brits have been left without gas and electricity.
PayPoint offers in store payment services for consumers, retailer services as well as secure mobile and online multi-channel payment solutions for businesses.
Parents have said they are unable to feed their kids and fear food will defrost in the in their freezers after the service went down.
A pre-recorded message on the customer service number tells people: “We are currently experiencing a nationwide outage with our PayPoint One devices.
“We are investigating the issue and apologise for the inconvenience caused.
“Please reboot your terminal every half an hour until the issue is resolved.
“Thank you for your patience.”
