Police warning after stranger asks two five-year-old boys to ‘go with him’ in Stockton-on-Tees park

COPS are on the hunt for a suspected child abductor who asked two boys aged five to “go with him” in a park.

The youngsters were approached by a teenager while in Preston Park in Stockton-on-Tees on Tuesday at around 4pm.

He reportedly asked the boys to follow him during the reported child snatch attempt.

Cops are now hunting the man, who has been described as around 17 years old, white, 5ft tall with short dark brown hair and of slim to medium build.

He was wearing a khaki tracksuit with possible green/brown/black camouflage patterns on the arms and was carrying a silver scooter.

Cleveland Police said: “It was reported that two boys aged five were approached by an unknown boy, who asked the children to go with him.

“Officers will continue to patrol the area in a bid to trace the male responsible.”
