Poundland has launched a knock-off version of M&S Percy Pigs but they’re shaped like DOGS instead

IF you enjoy munching on Percy Pigs, you’ll want to check out Poundland’s new knock-off version of the popular sweets.

The budget retailer has just launched its similar Dinky Dog treats, and they’re cheaper than Marks & Spencer’s Percy Pigs.

But as you might expect from the name, the fruit flavoured gummy sweets are shaped like little puppies instead of pigs.

The Sun hasn’t yet tried the new sweets so we can’t say what they taste like, but as they’re cheaper than a bag of Percy Pigs it’s worth giving them a shot.

A 200g bag of the jellies will set you back £1 in Poundland, while the sweets at M&S cost £1.65 for a smaller bag of 170g.

The posh retailer actually upped the prices of the famous sweets over a year ago although the sizes stayed the same.

The gummy sweets first appeared in Marks & Spencer stores more than 25 years ago and the chain now also sells Percy Pig merchandise including children’s books and socks.

Earlier this year, M&S also launched fizzy-flavoured Percy Pigs to celebrate the Chinese year of the pig.

The Dinky Dog sweets are currently available in all 900 Poundland stores across the country. You can find your nearest one here.

Earlier this week, Poundland launched a dark chocolate version of its Twin Peaks copycat Toblerone bar.

The cheeky discount retailer is also selling blue and red passport covers ahead of Brexit.

And ahead of Mother’s Day, the budget shop is selling a range of savage cards.
