PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN have agreed an £18million deal for left winger Pablo Sarabia – paving the way for Neymar’s blockbuster Barcelona return.
The Ligue 1 champions are set to officially announce the Spanish midfielder, 27, this Sunday, according to Paris United.
Sevilla star Sarabia will now earn just over £4m a season and the switch will line the pockets of the La Liga club, who paid just £400,000 for him from Getafe in 2016.
Sarabia had been on the books of Real Madrid back in 2010 but took some time to progress, eventually coming good with 23 goals and 17 assists as an attacking midfielder last season.
He was being looked at by Spurs – who are set to sign £60m midfielder Tanguy Ndombele and 18-year-old Leeds winger Jack Clarke – but they ultimately opted against bringing him in.
Sarabia had one year left on his Sevilla contract and they had been trying to get him to sign a new deal for the past two years, say Goal.
They add that “several” offers were made, most recently with sporting director Monchi reaching out to him personally, but that Sarabia had made up his mind some time ago.
