Rennes 1 PSG 3: Neymar gives shirt to pitch invading kid after being subbed off as Ligue 1 champions hit back after Liverpool defeat

NEYMAR gave his shirt to a teary young fan who invaded the pitch as the Brazilian superstar was being subbed off.

The 26-year-old starred for PSG as they got over their defeat at Anfield with a comeback win at Rennes.

And as Neymar was taken off by Thomas Tuchel in the last minute — to be replaced by youngster Christopher Nkunku — he was mobbed by an emotional pitch-invading kid.

Neymar showed his caring side by giving the lad his shirt, before he was escorted away by security.

Adrien Rabiot had given the home side a shock lead with an 11th-minute own goal.

But a long-range blaster from Angel Di Maria, Thomas Meunier’s overlap strike and Eric-Maxim Choupo Moting’s goal gave the champions a 3-1 win.

Ex-Newcastle enigma Hatem Ben Arfa was one player making his domestic debut for new club Rennes, against his old one.

The French playmaker left Parc-des-Princes at the end of last season and scored the winner in the Europa League against Jablonec on Thursday.

The former Hull and Toon star, 31, sang a cringeworthy initiation song on the eve of his first appearance in domestic football for his new side.

And he was not on song as he failed to get the home side back into the game in half an hour on the pitch.
