Dry January well and truly came to an end last night, as party-goers hit the town for a night of drinking and dancing – braving freezing temperatures and icy roads.
After a month of alcohol abstention, revellers headed out in force across British cities including Leeds and Newcastle to paint the town red.
Both cities saw temperatures well below freezing, but eager party-goers decided to ditch their winter coats and woolly jumpers to don some of their most daring outfits.
A few might have had a bit too much of a good time however, and were spotted keeled over and vomiting as their friends desperately tried to keep them upright.
While others were spotted arguing with security staff and staggering about in the road in what was an eventful evening across the country.
Police were also out in force, dealing with any confrontational revellers – with officers in Leeds seen attending to a man with a bloodied nose.
