Ayda Field’s outfit was one of our favourites from the Pride of Britain Awards in 2018. Bravo to her stylist Karl Willett!
The X Factor judge’s gorgeous black gown is by Alexander McQueen, and when put together with jewellery by House of Garrard and Jessica McCormack, Ayda looked super glamorous.
We love the red floral embellishment on the shoulders of this gown, as well as the structured shape and plunging neckline. The long sleeves balance things out a bit, and it would be perfect for a sophisticated black tie event.
Unfortunately it has now sold out, but click (right) to buy something similar by McQueen at Harrods.

In her post, Ayda showed that she and Robbie had a new addition to their family, as a snap of their children’s feet had a noticeable new addition.
The American actress also explained that she and Robbie used the same surrogate to carry both their son Beau and their third child Coco, whose birth they announced in September 2018.
She penned: ‘Spot the difference…’ On this Valentine’s Day, we would like to celebrate love in the most awesome way… Beau Benedict Enthoven Williams.
‘As with Coco, he is biologically ours, but born via our same incredible surrogate. We are so blessed to have our healthy son safely in our arms and are officially complete as a family.

HOW COMMON IS SURROGACY IN THE UK?
Surrogacy is becoming more common in the UK – with legal applications relating to surrogacy having risen six-fold in ten years.
In 2007, there were only 55 parental order applications in England – the process where legal parenthood is transferred from the surrogate to the intended parents. This rose to 316 in 2016.
The Department of Health and Social Care has said the rise reflects a ‘broadening diversity of families, with more LGTBQ+ couples and people with fertility difficulties turning to surrogacy’.
Some hospitals have insisted surrogates hand over their baby to intended parents in hospital car parks – for fear the hospitals could be caught up in legal disputes over the parenting rights of the child.
But DoH guidance states ‘there is no reason why the “hand over” of the baby to the intended parents should take place outside hospital premises and hospital staff should not suggest this’.
Robbie and Ayda’s new arrival comes 17 months after the couple announced that they welcomed their third child Colette Josephine Williams – or Coco – through a surrogate.
The couple – who married in 2010 – were already parents to daughter Theodora Rose Williams, seven, and son Charlton Valentine Williams, five, and had previously spoken openly about their struggles to conceive a third child.
Ayda wrote at the time: ‘I spy with my little eye an extra little hand. So we have been keeping a very special secret! We are delighted to share with you that we have had a baby girl…. welcome to the world Colette (Coco) Josephine Williams!!
‘It has been a very long and difficult path to get here, which is why we have kept it on the down low.
‘Family comes in all forms, and this little lady, who is biologically ours, was carried by an incredible surrogate mother, to whom we will be eternally grateful.’
She continued: ‘We are over the moon to have this beautiful baby girl in our lives and so blessed that we live in a world which makes this possible.
‘As with Teddy and Charlie, we ask that you respect Coco’s privacy and allow us to grow into our new team of 5!’
In October 2019 Ayda admitted that she and Robbie were already keen to have a fourth child as a a ‘teammate’ for little Coco.

Speaking on the Loose Women panel she said: ‘I’d like to, [but] you never know whats going to happen in the world, will it work, will it not, where we are in our life.
‘I’d like one more, but after that I think Rob would commit me somewhere and run away with Gary Barlow into the sunset. Being a mum is my greatest pleasure.’
Ayda said it would be good for Coco – who was born via a surrogate – to have a ‘teammate’ close in age because her siblings are so much older.
Sweet: In October 2019 Ayda admitted that she and Robbie were already keen to have a fourth child as a a ‘teammate’ for little Coco.
She explained: ‘The difference is because Teddy and Charlie were so close in age, they didn’t dote on each other, they were more jealous.
Whereas with Coco they want to feed her and play with her and show her things, she’s a living doll for them.
‘Sometimes I have to remind them she’s my child and I’m in charge, but they’re the best siblings. I think Coco will want a teammate to rally against her brother and sister, but they’re such an amazing unit.’
