Robbie Williams secretly dumped wife Ayda Field ‘several times’ before they married

ROBBIE Williams secretly dumped his wife Ayda Field more than once before they eventually tied the knot in 2010.

Robbie, 46, left the actress heartbroken when he kept calling their romance off – but she didn’t give up on the former Take That singer.

Admitting that she found it difficult each time Robbie pushed her away, Ayda said it also made her realise how much she really cared about him.

“I was in love with him. He was a lovely, beautiful human and he was just so charming and funny and amazing. He had my heart. He was my soulmate,” she said.

“He used to say, ‘I’m never getting married and I’m never having kids’. We laugh at that now,” Ayda added during an interview with The Times.

This isn’t the first time the former Loose Women panellist has admitted she had to pursue the Rock DJ hitmaker.

During their time on The X Factor panel, Ayda told one contestant: “Rob put me through some [heartbreak]. Rob dumped me three times. What a bad man. I know, we’re all thinking it.”

Of course, things have changed quite a bit since the pair met back in 2006 and they’re now married and have four children together, so it seems Ayda’s persistence paid off.

Robbie and Ayda said “I do” on August 7, 2010 at his home in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, and share kids Teddy, seven, Charlie, five, 18-month-old Coco and baby Beau – who was born this year via surrogate.

Ayda’s comments come after she revealed her mother is battling stage two cervical cancer at the age of 70.

Gwen Field has Parkinson’s and is now facing an “aggressive” tumour after the cancer spread to her cervix.

Speaking on Robbie’s new podcast, At Home With the Williamses, Ayda revealed her mum was diagnosed in January, adding: “It had spread outside the cervix and was a very aggressive tumour.

“Alongside her Parkinson’s and her lupus was this cancer battle, because the cancer was so big they decided that she immediately go into chemo and radiation daily and have surgery.”

She added: “It was very scary as my mum with Parkinson’s, lupus and cancer at 70 years old is prime for some bad things happening.

“So she was going to hospital every day for these treatments and I was worried she was going to pick something up.”
