Robert F. Kennedy’s granddaughter Saoirse, 22, dies of ‘drug overdose’ at family’s Cape Cod compound

ROBERT F. Kennedy’s granddaughter Saoirse has been found dead at her family’s home in Cape Cod, reports claim.

Saoirse Kennedy Hill, 22, was at the compound where her grandmother Ethel Kennedy, lives when paramedics were called on Thursday, according to the New York Times.

She was taken to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, where she was pronounced dead.
“Our hearts are shattered by the loss of our beloved Saoirse,” the Kennedy family said in a statement.

“Her life was filled with hope, promise and love.”

Saoirse’s grandmother, Ethel Kennedy, said: “The world is a little less beautiful today.”

Boston 25 News, citing a law enforcement source, reported that Hill died from a suspected drug overdose.

“Earlier this afternoon Barnstable Police responded to a residence on Marchant Ave in Hyannisport for a reported unattended death,” Cape and Islands Assistant District Attorney Tara Miltimore said in a statement.

“The matter remains under investigation by Barnstable Police and State Police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.”
